We know seeing growth is motivating, but let's be honest, tracking that development clearly over time hasn't always been simple. Until now. We're thrilled to announce a fantastic enhancement to YourZown designed to make tracking progress intuitive, insightful, and incredibly powerful: **Performance Post Versioning!** **What Does This Mean for You?** Remember setting up a Performance Post to capture skills, reflect on development, or set goals? Previously, you might create a new post each time you wanted to check in. Performance Post Versioning changes the game. Now, you can track an individual's journey *within a single Performance Post*. Imagine having the entire story of their development, from one check-in to the next, all neatly organised in one place. **How Does It Work? It's Simple!** Tracking progress continuously is now seamless: 1. **Revisit:** When it's time to update progress, simply return to the existing Performance Post for that individual. 2. **Review:** Take a moment to look over the current information – the goals set, the skills assessed, the feedback given. 3. **Create New Version:** With a click, you can start a new version of that post. 4. **Reflect & Assess (with Context!):** Here’s the magic! As you go through each question or metric in the *new* version, you'll be able to **see the previous responses or scores** right there. This immediate context allows for powerful, in-the-moment reflection. You're no longer just guessing how things were last time; you have the data right in front of you, enabling a much more informed and accurate assessment of progress. **The Power of Visible Progress** This new feature directly supports the principles we discussed about effective feedback: - **Makes Growth Tangible:** Seeing previous scores alongside current ones provides crystal-clear, visual evidence of progress (or areas needing focus). This is incredibly motivating for both the individual and the person giving feedback. - **Enables Informed Reflection:** Knowing exactly where things stood previously helps you provide more specific, relevant, and truly developmental feedback this time around. - **Creates a Development Story:** Over time, each version builds upon the last, creating a rich narrative of the individual's journey, challenges overcome, and milestones achieved. - **Works Beautifully with Flexibility:** This versioning is especially powerful when combined with our **flexible performance post templates**. You can tailor your tracking precisely to the skills and goals that matter most, and now watch them evolve version by version. (You can explore template options [here](https://yourzown.com/templates-yourzown)!) **Fuelling Growth and Enjoyment, Together** Seeing how far you've come is incredible motivation. Performance Post Versioning makes this journey visible, fostering richer conversations between parents and children, coaches and athletes, mentors and learners. It transforms feedback from a snapshot into a moving picture of development. We built this feature because we believe in supporting every step of the growth journey. We're excited for you to experience how Performance Post Versioning can deepen understanding, enhance feedback, and ultimately, help celebrate progress more effectively. Dive into YourZown today, explore this new feature within your existing Performance Posts, and start building those powerful development stories! Here's to celebrating every step of the journey!
